PURESTAR Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. offers a range of municipal drinking water purification solutions, with a global sales and service network to provide the highest quality service to our customers.
Our solutions are designed to be the most cost-effective, used either independently or in combination, based on specific needs and/or regulatory standards.
Surface Water
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and most state health departments consider the use of Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) adsorption to be the best technology for removing numerous organic substances from surface water. GAC, either alone or in combination with UV disinfection systems, can remove the following substances:
- Chlorine-related disinfection by-products (DBPs) and other disinfectants
- Algal toxins such as Microcystin-LR and Anatoxins
- Bacteria, viruses, and parasites like Cryptosporidium and Giardia
- Endocrine Disrupting Compounds (EDCs)
- Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products (PPCPs)
- Taste and Odor (T&O) compounds
- Organic substances from decaying plants and other naturally occurring matter (NOM) that serve as precursors for DBPs
Groundwater
Groundwater sourced from underground aquifers requires treatment to remove industrial chemicals, natural minerals, viruses, and bacteria. To address these water purification challenges, PURESTAR has designed groundwater treatment systems that incorporate GAC and UV disinfection to eliminate organic contaminants. Additionally, ion exchange technology can be used to remove inorganic compounds.
