GAC-P S is the acid-washed variant of our high-iodine coal-based granular carbon, engineered for applications where pH stability and low extractable content are essential. Manufactured from premium bituminous coal through carbonization, steam activation, and extended acid washing, it achieves a pH of 5–8 while maintaining an iodine adsorption value exceeding 950 mg/g and methylene blue above 160 mg/g.

Available in GAC-P 830S and GAC-P 1240S configurations, this grade serves ultra-pure water, beverage processing, and point-of-entry systems where the alkaline pH of standard coal carbons would require downstream correction. The acid-washing protocol removes soluble ash and minerals, reducing conductivity spikes and protecting sensitive equipment.
