GAC S is an acid-washed coal-based granular activated carbon designed for standard-duty ultra-pure water and food-grade water treatment. Manufactured from premium bituminous coal through carbonization, steam activation, and acid washing, it achieves a pH of 5–8 with iodine adsorption exceeding 900 mg/g and methylene blue above 150 mg/g.

Positioned as the standard acid-washed grade in our coal water treatment series, GAC S provides reliable organic removal and dechlorination for applications where premium SQ-grade capacity is not required. The acid-washed surface ensures minimal pH drift and reduced extractable content compared to standard non-washed coal carbons.
